The Patriots are currently dealing with injuries to two of their biggest threats on offense in Sony Michel and Rob Gronkowski.

Michel left Sunday's game against the Bears with a knee injury, but after a MRI Monday reportedly revealed no structural damage, he's considered week-to-week. Gronkowski didn't even make the trip after having his back flare up on him late in the week. He reportedly is expected to play next week.

Appearing on Westwood One Radio with Jim Gray Monday night, Tom Brady said he was happy to hear Michel's injury isn't as serious as it first looked.

“Sony has really been coming into his own providing some really explosive runs for us," he said. "To see him go out and get twisted up like he did [Sunday] in the second quarter, I think everyone was holding their breath. Just happy it is not as serious as it could have been. Hopefully we get him back at some point soon.”

As for Gronkowski, Brady is hoping he's back on the field as soon as possible.

“I think he is week-to-week, too. Hopefully it is not a serious thing for him, too," he said. "The one thing about Rob is he works extremely hard at his rehab. As soon as he is back and healthy it is just a whole nother option for our team. He is the best tight end in the league so when he is out there they have to deal with him on every play. We are hoping things calm down for him and we’re hoping he’s back as soon as he is feeling 100 percent.”

Brady and the Patriots will get an extra day to prepare for the Bills this week with the game being on Monday night.
