“The New England Patriots are releasing Antonio Brown," it said in a statement through a spokesman. "We appreciate the hard work of many people over the past 11 days, but we feel that it is best to move in a different direction at this time.”

This comes following a number of recent allegations, including sexual assault and rape over the last week plus. Brown has denied all of them through his representation.

When asked about the allegations Thursday, he said he wanted to focus "on ball."

Brown played last Sunday for the team and finished with four catches for 56 yards and a touchdown.
