The interesting summer for N’Keal Harry continues.

Listen to your team news NOW.

The Patriots’ first-round pick flew back to Boston from Nashville Thursday night, while the rest of the team is still in Tennessee for Saturday’s second preseason game against the Titans.

Harry was present for the two joint practices the last few days, but did not participate and left the field after stretching and the walkthrough portion.

The Arizona State product was injured in the first preseason game last week against the Lions following making two contested catches in the first quarter. While he suffered the injury following the second catch, he stayed on the sideline for the rest of the half, but did not come back out after halftime. It looked to be a lower leg/foot injury.

This isn’t the first injury he’s dealt with this summer, either.

Harry also had a scare a few days before the preseason opener when he appeared to injure his hamstring in a joint practice with the Lions. But, he was present for the walkthrough the next day and obviously played in the game. He’s also looked to have been nicked up on a few other occasions during practices at Gillette Stadium.

It is unclear why Harry flew back to Boston after spending the last two days with his teammates in Nashville despite not being able to practice.

Harry isn’t the only wide receiver to be battling injuries. Julian Edelman (NFI), Demaryius Thomas (PUP), Cameron Meredith (PUP), Maurice Harris (undisclosed injury) and Phillip Dorsett (apparent thumb injury) also missed Thursday’s session.
