It appears Cyrus Jones is returning to New England.

According to Jeff Howe of The Athletic, the Patriots have signed Jones off the Ravens' practice squad. This means he has to be on the Patriots' active roster. Howe notes Jones will likely be the Patriots' punt returner and also be in the mix at cornerback.

The 2016 second-round pick was released on cut-down weekend and immediately signed to the Ravens' practice squad.

NFL Media's Ian Rapoport adds the team has released running back Kenjon Barner as the corresponding move.
