FOXBORO -- The Patriots have filled their open spot on the practice squad.

Running back Kenneth Farrow was the No. 37 at practice earlier in the day, as he was present in the Patriots locker room Tuesday afternoon. After releasing Ralph Webb from the practice squad Monday, the team needed some more running back depth.

As a rookie in 2016, the 5-foot-9, 219-pounder played in 13 games with two starts as a member of the Chargers and totaled 60 rushing attempts for 192 yards and 13 receptions for 70 yards. He didn't play last year due to injury and spent this summer with the Patriots before being released on cut-down weekend. He was re-signed to the practice squad Sept. 12, but was released Sept. 20.

Farrow gives the Patriots some running back depth behind James White, Sony Michel and Kenjon Barner on the active roster.
