As expected, the Patriots added two players to their roster on Sunday, as in addition to 52 players on the initial roster, the team placed tight end Ryan Izzo on injured reserve, thus freeing up two spots.

With those two openings, the team claimed two players off waivers -- wide receivers Amara Darboh from Seattle and Chad Hansen from the New York Jets.

Darboh was Seattle's third-round pick in last year's draft and appeared as a reserve in all 16 games last year and totaled eight receptions for 71 yards. As a fifth-year at Michigan he was an All-Big Ten second team member and a Biletnikoff Award candidate, playing in all 13 games. He led team with 57 receptions for 862 yards and seven touchdowns.

Hansen was drafted by the Jets in the fourth-round in 2017 and played in 15 regular-season games with one start, finishing with nine receptions for 94 yards.

These two players join Chris Hogan, Phillip Dorsett and Cordarrelle Patterson on the Patriots’ receiver depth chart.
