The Patriots made a few roster moves in advance of Sunday's game against the Jaguars.

New England released wide receiver Bennie Fowler, who was just signed on Tuesday, and then promoted offensive lineman Cole Croston from the practice squad to take his spot on the active roster. In addition, wide receiver Riley McCarron was signed to the practice squad to replace Croston.

This is likely not good news for offensive tackle Marcus Cannon, who rotated with LaAdrian Waddle at left tackle in the season opener against the Texans. Cannon missed all of the preseason with a calf injury.

Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. in Jacksonville.
