One of the leaders of the Patriots will be back in 2020.

Listen to your team news NOW.

No not Tom Brady, but the Patriots and special teams captain Matthew Slater reportedly have agreed to terms.

According to ESPN's Field Yates, Slater and the team have agreed to a two-year extension, which will pay him similar to his last deal, which gave him $2.6 million per year.

Slater is one of the best special teams players in the league and is one of the biggest leaders the Patriots have on their roster, so it was really a no-brainer.

NFL free agency officially begins next Wednesday.
