Special teams captain Matthew Slater spoke to the media Wednesday afternoon, but he may not be on the field Thursday morning with the rest of his teammates.

According to ESPN's Field Yates, Slater will be placed on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list. He will join wide receiver Kenny Britt, cornerbacks Cyrus Jones and Jonathan Jones and safety Nate Ebner, who have already reportedly been placed on the list.

Slater participated in the spring workouts, but did miss seven games last season with a hamstring injury.

Players on PUP can come off the list at any time and begin practicing.
