Wide receiver is definitely a top priority for the Patriots this offseason and they are taking a closer look at two on Thursday.

According to NFL Media's Mike Garafolo, wide out Maurice Harris is visiting New England. He was not tendered by the Redskins, thus making him a free agent. ESPN's Field Yates also adds Bruce Ellington will be in Foxboro, as well. He was released by the Lions last month.

Harris, who primarily plays out of the slot, spent his first three years in the league with Washington. His best year came last year when he finished with 28 receptions for 304 yards, including a 10-catch, 124-yard performance against the Falcons. The 26-year-old looks like someone who can provide some depth at the position, which the Patriots certainly need.

Ellington has played for three teams in his four years in the league with his best coming in 2017 when he had 29 catches for 330 yards and two touchdowns with the Texans. He also has kick and punt return experience, which is an added bonus. The 28-year-old spent time with both Houston and Detroit last year.

Right now, the Patriots have Phillip Dorsett, Julian Edelman, Matthew Slater, Braxton Berrios and Damoun Patterson currently signed at wide receiver for next season.
