Patriots reportedly work out quarterback, 2 veteran running backs
As is the case with a lot of teams this time of year, they are making sure they are ready for anything, which means a lot of workouts taking place.
According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, the Patriots worked out quarterback Kyle Allen, running back Andre Ellington and running back Charcandrick West on Tuesday.

Ellington has been in the league since 2013, but hasn't had a team since last season. He spent last year with the Cardinals and Texans after Arizona waived him. His best year came in 2014 when he had 660 rushing yards. The Clemson product is 5-foot-9, 200 pounds.
West had 634 yards in 2015 with the Chiefs, but hasn't done much since. After being released by Kansas City this summer he signed with the Jets, but was released just a few days after.
Allen was signed by the Panthers as an undrafted free agent this year, but was let go on cut-down weekend. He was signed to the practice squad, but then released.
