Once again, the Patriots have adjusted Patrick Chung's contract in the offseason.

According to ESPN's Field Yates, the Patriots and Chung have agreed on a two-year extension, which has him signed through 2023. The safety gets $3 million to sign and is now due up to $12.8 million over the next four years.

It's worth wondering if this move frees up enough cap space for the team to sign second-round pick Kyle Dugger, the lone draft pick yet to sign.

Chung will be 36 years old in 2023 and it's unclear if he wants to play that long, especially given the number of injuries he's had the last several years.

With that being said, when healthy Chung is one of the most underrated players in the entire NFL.

In 13 games last season, he finished with 51 tackles and three passes defensed.
