The Patriots will open training camp this week on the grass fields behind Gillette Stadium and it looks like two Patriots Hall of Famers will be on the field working with the team, at least as the team opens camp.

According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, Rodney Harrison, who will be inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame next Monday, will arrive on Thursday and likely will be on the field with the team for the first few days of training camp. Reiss adds former wide receiver Troy Brown, who worked with the wide receivers during the spring, will also be on the field. It remains to be seen at this point if Brown officially joins the staff in some capacity.

Players have always said it's nice to hear from former Patriots players, which is what Harrison will bring, while Brown is a bit of a different case.

With Joe Judge coaching both the special teams and wide receivers, some extra reinforcements could be needed, especially with all of the new players at the position. During the spring, rookie N'Keal Harry got a lot of 1-on-1 time with Brown and also Deion Branch, who helped out at the sessions.

Training camp officially gets underway Thursday morning.
