It seems like the Patriots really wanted Adam Humphries.

According to NESN's Doug Kyed, following agreeing to a four-year, $36 million deal with the Titans on Monday, the Patriots circled back and actually offered the receiver more money per year and a higher guarantee, but Humphries never wavered and will still sign with the Titans. His deal is not official, but is expected to be soon.

It was reported Monday the Titans and Patriots were going back-and-forth for Humphries' services.

Humphries finished last season with 76 catches for 816 yards and five touchdowns.

New England currently has Phillip Dorsett, Julian Edelman, Matthew Slater, Braxton Berrios and Damoun Patterson currently signed at wide receiver for next season.
