FOXBOROUGH -- With Julian Edelman, Demaryius Thomas and Josh Gordon back at wide receiver, there were going to be some odd men out and one of them was released Sunday.

Listen to your team news NOW.

According to ESPN's Field Yates, veteran receiver Maurice Harris has been released.

Harris suffered an injury during joint sessions with the Titans, which has set him back on the depth chart. Harris was very impressive at the beginning of camp, but leveled off and then has been passed on the depth chart.

[UPDATE 7 p.m.]: Harris was released with an injury designation so has a chance to revert back to the Patriots' injured reserve.

The Patriots now have Edelman, Thomas, Gordon, N'Keal Harry, Phillip Dorsett, Jakoki Meyers, Braxton Berrios, Ryan Davis, Cameron Meredith, Damoun Patterson and Gunner Olszewski at wide receiver.
