FOXBORO -- As the first preseason game nears, the Patriots are getting more players back on the field.

On Tuesday, Nate Ebner, Cyrus Jones and Jonathan Jones, all of whom started the summer on PUP, returned to the field in full pads. All three partipated in special teams work before departing for the lower fields where they had been every other practice to this point. It's worth noting Cyrus Jones immediately jumped into the mix returning kicks.

Once again, Sony Michel and Marcus Cannon were absent. Also absent was Harvey Langi. Offensive lineman Jason King was present, but not wearing pads.

As for players who were limited, it was just Kenny Britt and Trey Flowers. Flowers did some work on his own before leaving the session about midway through.

The Patriots are scheduled to have one more practice before Thursday's preseason opener.
