After spending 2017 and 2018 with the Patriots, Phillip Dorsett was a free agent last offseason.

The 2015 first-round pick ultimately signed a one-year deal to stay with Patriots, but after signing with the Seahawks this offseason, Dorsett seemed to indicate it was a bad decision.

“I could have come (to Seattle) last year, but I chose to stay in New England,” he said via The News Tribune. “I didn’t want to make that mistake again.”

Last season with the Patriots, Dorsett totaled 29 catches for 397 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games, which was actually his best year in New England. The 27-year-old had good chemistry with Tom Brady at times, but he just could not take his game to the next level when given the opportunity.

Josh Gordon pushed Dorsett down the depth chart in both 2018 and 2019. With that being said, Dorsett was still a solid No. 3/4 option in the passing game and was a great locker room guy.

He signed a one-year deal with Seattle in March.
