ATLANTA -- It wasn't the greatest of weeks for Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman.

On Monday, in a Bleacher Report story, he called out Tom Brady and the Patriots before taking the comments back, claiming they were taken out of context.

Then in the game Sunday, he was part of the Rams secondary that allowed Julian Edelman to win the MVP award by recording 10 catches on 12 targets for 141 yards in the Patriots' 13-3 win. Although he wasn't matched up against him 1-on-1 the entire game, he still was responsible for a few of his catches.

His comments after the game probably weren't the best for a player who just lost the Super Bowl.

"I was on top of everything tonight," he said to reporters. "I knew what was going on."

Robey-Coleman was also flagged for unnecessary roughness on a tackle of Rex Burkhead early in the game.

"I really don't know," he said. "I can't tell you what it was about. They said it was helmet-to-helmet. I just kept playing football. I didn't worry about that play initially. I just kept playing football."

The former member of the Bills finished with two tackles and a pass deflection.
