Red Sox lineup: World Series MVP Steve Pearce to make season debut vs. A's

The Red Sox lineup will get a boost in Thursday's series finale against the Athletics as Steve Pearce will make his season debut.

Pearce was activated off the injured list before the game and will bat third against A's left-hander Brett Anderson. The Red Sox will look to continue their momentum from Wednesday's win.

Xander Bogaerts is back in the lineup after missing the previous game,

Christian Vazquez will catch Red Sox starter Eduardo Rodriguez.
