Following the Red Sox splitting the day/night doubleheader with the Yankees, manager John Farrell announced two roster moves.

The team has optioned reliever Austin Maddox and infielder Tzu-Wei Lin to Triple-A Pawtucket. The corresponding moves have Brock Holt staying on the roster, as he was the 26th man in the doubleheader, and Eduardo Rodriguez coming off the disabled list to start on Monday.

Maddox was recalled earlier on Sunday and pitched in the first game, tossing a scoreless 1 2/3 innings. Lin appeared in 18 games with the Red Sox and went 14-for-47 (.298) with two RBIs, while giving the team solid defense in the infield. This will be his first time with Triple-A, as he came to the Red Sox from Double-A Portland.

Another move will likely be needed for Tuesday, as scheduled starter Doug Fister pitched in Saturday's 16-inning affair and will not be able to start as scheduled.
