With Opening Day against the Rays just five days away, the Red Sox continue to trim their roster.

On Saturday, the team optioned three players to Triple-A and re-assigned four players to minor league camp.

Infielder Tzu-Wei Lin and left-handed pitchers Roenis Elias and Robby Scott were optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket and then catcher Dan Butler, infielder Iván De Jesús Jr., and outfielders Rusney Castillo and Aneury Tavárez were re-assigned to minor league camp. Although, De Jesús will remain with the major league club through the end of spring training.

The Red Sox now have 36 players in big league camp, including 33 players from the 40-man roster and three non-roster invitees. This means a few major decisions still remain, including with Brock Holt, Deven Marrero and Bobby Poyner.
