When new Patriots defensive tackle Danny Shelton spoke to reporters last week, he noted how intense the offseason workouts were compared to the Browns.

Apparently they were intense enough to cause a minor injury.

According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, new defensive end Adrian Clayborn “tweaked” a quadriceps muscle during the workouts recently. His availability for OTAs could be limited, but he's expected to be ready for training camp.

It is worth pointing out Clayborn has an extensive injury history. He tore his ACL in in 2012, tore his biceps in 2014 and in 2016, and also suffered another knee injury in 2016.

Patriots OTA sessions began Monday with the media getting its first look on Tuesday.
