Tom Brady won't be present Monday for the first day of the Patriots' offseason workout program because he's returning from Qatar after a Best Buddies weekend, but maybe it will be more than just the first day.

According to ESPN's Jeff Darlington, it is not anticipated Brady will be a regular participant in team’s offseason program because he plans to spend more time with his family and Alex Guerrero. The report also notes this isn't the first time Brady would miss parts of the offseason program, as he did in 2008-10.

In the Tom vs. Time documentary, Brady said this offseason would be more about his family.

It's worth noting the start of the offseason program is focused more on weight lifting and could have something to do with Brady wanting to work with Guerrero. Nothing is done on the field with the coaching staff at this point in the program.

Brady isn't the only one not present, as Rob Gronkowski will not be there on Monday, either.
