Following Sunday's 24-12 win over the Bills, there was a unique sight in the Patriots locker room. They were rooting for the Eagles, as they were playing the Texans.

Thanks to a last minute drive from Nick Foles, the Eagles kicked a last-second field goal to beat the Texans that allowed the Patriots to slide back up into the No. 2 seed.

Loud roars were heard from behind the curtain in the Patriots locker room when the kick went through the uprights, and appearing on Ordway, Merloni & Fauria with Steve DeOssie and Ben Volin filling in on Monday, Bill Belichick acknowledged he saw the ending as well.

“We were in the coaches locker room and we saw the last couple plays of that," he said. "It was a big win for the Eagles and it certainly helped our situation. Now the most important thing for us is to go out and win Sunday.”

The most likely scenario for the Patriots is beat the Jets Sunday and they are the No. 2 seed in the AFC, but with losses by the Chiefs and Chargers they could move up to the No. 1 seed. A loss, and things become more complicated.

As it relates to the AFC, no seed is set going into the final week, but Belichick isn't concerning himself with any scenarios.

“I didn’t realize that, but it seems like every year there’s a lot of scenarios and there’s nine, 10 teams that are mathematically alive for the six spots," he said. "Honestly, I don’t really try and keep track of all it. I just know that if we win that is a good thing and everything else will take care of itself. In this league you are rooting for one team one week and two weeks later you’re rooting against them. It can flip in a hurry. I just root for the Patriots and let everything else take care of itself.”

The Patriots host the Jets Sunday at 1 p.m.
