Some believed Rob Gronkowski would get a new contract, or at least a restructure, before training camp rolled around, but clearly that didn't happen.

Rob Gronkowski stepped on the field Thursday without a new deal, and afterwards he said it wasn't an issue and things like that take care of themselves.

Well, it might take a little bit.

According to Pro Football Talk, "nothing is imminent" regarding a new contract for the tight end.

Gronkowski is due to make $8 million this year and is signed through the end of 2019. He had incentives added to his deal last year, which many assumed would happen again this year.

Obviously, Gronkowski is worth more than $8 million, which is why many think a deal will get done at some point before the start of the season.
