FOXBORO -- Last week, the Patriots added incentives to Rob Gronkowski's contract that are worth up to $4.3 million if he hits all of them.

This was the second straight year he had incentives added, and many thought he might only want actual money this time around.

That wasn't the case.

"I’m super satisfied with my situation," he said Tuesday. "I mean, if I wasn’t, then I would try and pull a move like they do which works out. They get rewarded for holding out. But I’m not frustrated at all or anything. I’m super satisfied and just ready to go, ready to play. That’s my main focus."

Even though it had been in the works for quite some time, it didn't bother him.

"I mean, it didn’t weigh on me at all," he said. "Everything’s always in the works. I mean, nothing’s just going to happen in a day, something like that. So, it’s in the past now. It happened last week, so it’s go time now. That’s all."

This is Gronkowski's ninth NFL season and he will be a free agent after next.
