It appeared Rob Gronkowski's antics this offseason centered around getting a new contract, and apparently it worked.

According to NFL Media's James Palmer, a contract restructure with Rob Gronkowski is currently being worked on. The report notes Gronkowski can't receive a new contract until May 24 as that is one year to the date of his last restructure. NFL rules permit new contracts within one year of one another. The Patriots' third OTA is also May 24, so that could be a date to watch.

A few weeks ago Gronkowski and his agent Drew Rosenhaus met with Bill Belichick and it wouldn't be a surprise if a new contract was discussed.

Gronkowski had incentives added to his deal at this time last season, which could be the case again this season. He's on the books to have a base salary of $8 million in 2018.
