For the Patriots, this was the best possible scenario.

Patriots running back Sony Michel left Sunday's game against the Bears due to a knee injury that looked serious at the time, but a day later the team got some good news.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Michel's MRI revealed no structural damage and the rookie is now considered week-to-week.

With only Michel, James White and Kenjon Barner on the running back depth chart, perhaps another back will be added, but it isn't as urgent as it would have been if it was a serious injury.

Michel has 95 carries for 422 yards and four touchdowns this season.
