In a year where kickers have struggled across the league, Stephen Gostkowski has been pretty consistent and he was rewarded on Thursday.

The Patriots kicker was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for October. It is the fourth time in his career that he has earned Player of the Month honors and the first time since September of 2015.

Gostkowski was 11-of-12 on field goal attempts, 15-of-15 extra points and kicked 17 touchbacks during October. Additionally, Gostkowski became the 19th kicker in NFL history to reach 350 career field goals after connecting on five field goals in the win over the Chiefs on Oct. 14.

On top of four career Special Teams Player of the Month awards, he has also won six Player of the Week awards.
