FOXBORO -- Tom Brady's responses to the Josh Gordon's questions were a little different than the rest of his teammates who spoke on the matter.

“There wasn’t much reaction," was his first response when asked what his reaction was.

A follow-up was asked and Brady went a little more in-depth.

“We all wish him the best," he said. "I think that is kind of how we all feel. We want him to do what is right for him.”

It's worth wondering why Brady first responded like he did, but it could just be him showing he's locked in on Buffalo.

The quarterback was then asked if the news about Gordon came as a shock?

“That is exactly how I felt," he said. "I certainly appreciate his effort and all his hard work. I didn’t have much of a reaction, just focused on what I need to do. That is kind of what it has been all year.”

Brady was also asked if he's reached out to Gordon since, and said it's a personal thing and he will keep it to himself. Gordon aside, the Patriots have a very big game Sunday against the Bills and Brady noted the team's mental toughness will be tested.

“There are a lot of those different feelings and emotions over the course of the year," he said. "We all have lives that exist outside of this building and there is a lot of support from everyone and everyone goes through different things over the course of the year. We’ve certainly faced our fair share of adversities and I think part of that is mental toughness and when you actually go out on the field, and in meetings and so forth, focus on what you have to do, what your role is, what your job is. I think we’ve done a good job of that, so we’re just working through the week and realizing it is obviously a huge game, big opportunity for us and it is one we have to win. Been talking about that all week.”

The Patriots will clinch their 10th straight AFC East title with a win.
