Maybe there was a real reason Tom Brady missed practice Tuesday.

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Brady has a sprained AC joint in his non-throwing shoulder, but isn't expected to miss time. NBC Sports Boston adds Brady had a MRI, but it came back negative and he should be ready to practice this week.

Brady apparently injured it against the Panthers in Week 4, but aggravated it Thursday against the Buccaneers. Brady dealt with the same injury during the team's run to Super Bowl XLII.

The 40-year-old has been sacked 16 times in five games, which comes after being sacked 15 in 12 games last season.

“Just football,” Brady said after the game Thursday of the hits. “I’ll be there next Sunday."
