INDIANAPOLIS -- There have been a number of teams linked to Tom Brady with the 42-year-old set to become a free agent for the first time in his career next month.

Listen to your team news NOW.

Two of the teams at the top of the list are the Raiders and Titans.

While Raiders GM Mike Mayock praised Derek Carr, who is still under contract, he left the door open for Carr to depart by saying he's always looking to improve his team any way he can.

“Derek Carr played at a high level,” he said. “I’m very happy with Derek Carr. What I’ve told everyone I’ve been in contact with since the day I took this job is we’re going to evaluate every position every year. And if we can get better, we will. You guys get tired of me saying it, but that’s what I told Mark Davis before I took the job, and that’s my mantra.”

He was later asked specifically about Brady, but he couldn't say much.

“I don’t make anything of any rumors,” Mayock said. “All I can tell you about free agency — because I’m not allowed to talk about any of them anyway — is that I’ve watched tape of just about every guy out there at every position, and all that does is uphold what I’m telling you. Every position gets evaluated every year, and if we can upgrade it, we will.”

The Raiders are moving to Vegas this coming season and could make a huge splash with Brady at QB.

As for the Titans, who advanced to the AFC title game, they have Ryan Tannehill set to become a free agent and GM Jon Robinson wouldn't commit to bringing him back.

“We’ll see how it goes,” he said. “He’s under contract here for the next few weeks, and he did a great job for us. We’ll start those talks and see where those go, just like all the other (free agents).”

Head coach Mike Vrabel is very friendly with Brady having played with him in New England and have continued the friendly banter since Vrabel became head coach of the Titans. But, he would not comment on the potential of Brady replacing Tannehill in 2020.

“Tom’s a former teammate. He’s a friend. He’ll always be a friend," he said. "And I know, like a lot of people, he’ll do what’s best for him and his family. Wherever that may be, I’m not sure.”

While none of these teams said anything definitive on Brady, they also didn't commit to their current quarterbacks, which leaves the door open for these teams to potentially pursue him if he becomes a free agent.
