FOXBORO -- The Patriots should be getting at least one of their best defenders back on the field Sunday against Miami.

Patrick Chung and Trey Flowers both missed Week 3 with concussions, and when speaking in the Patriots locker room Wednesday, the Patriots defensive end said he expected to be on the field against the Dolphins.

“Yeah, I expect to work and be able to play," he said. "Whatever happens, happens.”

Chung didn't speak, but did return to practice in a limited form like Flowers.

Flowers wouldn't have been the difference between winning and losing Sunday in Detroit, but he was clearly missed as one of the Patriots' top defensive players.

In one game plus a single drive this season, Flowers has 1.5 sacks, three hurries, one QB hit, a forced fumble and a drawn penalty.

New England hosts the 3-0 Dolphins Sunday at Gillette Stadium.
