FOXBORO -- The Patriots held their first full padded practice of the summer Saturday morning and two players couldn't complete it.

The biggest name was Trey Flowers, as the defensive end exited the field quickly roughly three-quarters of the way through with a towel pressed to his forehead and there appeared to be blood on the towel.

The injury occurred during goal-line work when he and Malcom Brown combined to make a tackle. After Flowers removed his helmet, trainers came over an immediately put a towel to his face and he walked towards the facility for treatment.

The other player not to finish was rookie cornerback Keion Crossen. It was unclear what happened, but he was walking gingerly and did miss some time during the spring.

The Patriots will hold their second full padded practice of the summer Sunday morning.
