While the Patriots got off to a slow start Sunday in Washington, they turned it around in the second half to come away with a 33-7 win.

The running game was a big emphasis in the second half and a drastic improvement from the first four games of the season.

That was part of Bill Belchick's message to the team in the locker room after the game, courtesy of Patriots.com.

“That is a good job coming down here taking care of business," Belichick said. "Five yards a carry, that's a big improvement. Defensively, 1-for-whatever on third down, so that's good. But look, the big thing is now is we have to turn the page. It's Wednesday night on a Sunday game. We have a quick turnaround here. Let’s get some rest. Let’s do a good job here and be ready to go tomorrow to finish off this game and then get onto the Giants. … We know them a little bit from the preseason. We still have a lot of work to do here. Let’s make this a good week.

"Congratulations, that’s the way to come down here and nail it. Nice job men.”

The Patriots will now host the Giants on Thursday Night Football.
