Marcus Smart may not be "hurt and disgusted" much longer. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Celtics general manager Danny Ainge is "seriously engaged" in contract talks with Smart's agent, Happy Walters.

The potential deal, according to Wojnarowski, would be in the range of four years and $46-50 million, which comes out to $11.5-12.5 million per season. Smart told Jackie MacMullan in May that he believed he was worth "more than 12-14 million," but it doesn't seem like he's gotten any offers for more than that.

The Celtics extended a $6.05 million qualifying offer to Smart on June 29, but Smart was reportedly hurt that a more substantial offer didn't follow that. It appears that has now changed, and that a deal to keep Smart in Boston could be reached soon.
