We just learned the Red Sox' reconfigured 2020 schedule earlier this week, and now we've gotten a second schedule release of the week, as MLB announced the 2021 schedules for all 30 teams on Thursday.

MLB will have a true league-wide Opening Day in 2021, as every team will begin the season on Thursday, April 1. For the Red Sox, they'll be opening at Fenway Park against the Orioles. This will be just the sixth time in the last 26 years that the Red Sox have opened the season at home.

Another April highlight will be the annual (well, until this year) Patriots Day game on Monday, April 19, which will be against the White Sox. The Red Sox won't face the Yankees until a three-game series June 25-27 at Fenway. They'll also host the Yankees for a four-game series July 22-25 and three-game series Sept. 24-26.

After facing each of the National League East teams four times during the shortened 2020 season, the Red Sox will face all NL East teams in interleague play again next year. They'll host the Braves and Mets for two-game series and the Phillies and Marlins for three games each, while also going to Atlanta and New York for two, to Philadelphia for three, and to Washington for a season-ending three-game series against the Nationals Oct. 1-3.

All of this is of course contingent on the 2021 season actually being able to start on time and be played in full, which we all hope will happen, but isn't exactly a guarantee.

Game times will be finalized and announced at a later date.
