Robert Kraft clearly has no intention of quieting speculation about whether Rob Gronkowski could return to the Patriots.

Listen to your team news NOW.

In fact, Kraft provided even more fodder for those holding out hope when he appeared on NFL Network's "NFL GameDay Kickoff" with Colleen Wolfe and Patriots great Willie McGinest before Thursday night's game against the Giants and revealed that Gronkowski hasn't actually filed his retirement papers yet.

"We all love Gronk. I think the bottom line is he hasn't put his retirement papers in, so we can always pray and hope," Kraft said. "When he puts his retirement papers in... although I think our kicker, (Mike) Nugent, he's already put his retirement papers in, so even if he puts them in... but that's a good academic argument that there is hope for us still with Gronk."

Gronkowski makes his debut as an analyst for FOX Thursday night, but it's clear that talk about a possible return to the field will continue until or unless we hear something definitive from his lips.
