Titans' Kenny Britt out an 'extended period of time'

The roller coaster that has been Kenny Britt's 2010 season continues to plow forward at full steam, this time dipping again to a low. A week after after getting in trouble with the law, and then exploding for seven catches, 225 yards, and three touchdowns despite being benched until the second quarter, the Titans receiver's torrid scoring pace was halted with a hamstring injury. Coach Jeff Fisher believes his emerging wideout will be out for "an extended period of time." Britt suffered the injury while trying to run down a deep pass from quarterback Vince Young. He stayed down on the field for a few minutes before limping to the sideline, and spent the second half on the sideline in street clothes. '€œI felt it pop when I was just running out there on that last couple of steps,'€ Britt said. '€œI had my hands out and it popped, and I knew I was down for the count right then and there.' Though the extent of the injury has yet to be determined, Britt's comments suggest something serious. He was scheduled to undergo an MRI Monday morning, and had reportedly been feeling tightness in his hamstring during the practice week leading up to the game. The team has a bye this week before returning to action Nov. 14 against Miami.
