Andre Drummond takes dig at Jaylen Brown with Instagram comment

Draymond Green may have thought Jaylen Brown was deserving of an NBA All-Star selection, but Pistons center Andre Drummond had a different take.

With Team LeBron needing a replacement for the injured John Wall, it was Drummond, not Brown or the Sixers' Ben Simmons, that was named to the team by NBA commissioner Adam Silver. But Drummond's selection was not met without some criticism from the aformentioned young guns. Brown made his confusion known by way of emoji, while Simmons opted for the crying face

Not exactly known for his reserved attitude, and obviously infuriated with his original snub, Drummond decided to respond to those tweets with an Instagram comment on Tuesday night.

"No(t) sure why Jaylen is confused," Drummond responded to a post by Instagram account Ballislife. "He's not even the top three option on his team."

While Drummond's analysis of the Celtic offense may be a little off (Brown's 11.3 attempts per game are second among all Boston options), it seems perfectly reasonable to suggest that Drummond (averaging a double-double, with 14.8 points and 15.3 rebounds per game, this season) was the more deserving of the two.

Brown and Drummond will have a chance to exchange opinions beyond smileys and comments when the C's and Pistons meet on Feb. 23... in the first game after the NBA All-Star break.
