Bruins winger Brad Marchand is typically more fighter than lover. Actually, he's more elite scorer than fighter.

But No. 63 showed off his affectionate side two weeks ago when he appeared to deliver a kiss right to the cheek of Maple Leafs forward Leo Komarov.

And back on the ice and practicing with the Bruins (though already ruled out for Sunday's game against the Oilers) on Saturday, Marchand explained his decision behind the smooch with some sound logic.

"He kept hugging me after every whistle, so I thought he wanted to get a little closer," Marchand said with a grin. "But I guess not. He shut me down a couple times."

Marchand has eight goals and 15 points in 14 games for the Bruins this season, and hopes to get back in action for Wednesday's meeting with the Lightning.
