Rick Nash (upper-body) a late scratch from Bruins-Jackets

And the hits just keep on coming for the Bruins.

Already entering Monday's contest against the Blue Jackets without the services of Patrice Bergeron (foot), Jake DeBrusk (upper-body), David Backes (leg), Zdeno Chara (upper-body), and Charlie McAvoy (knee), trade deadline pickup Rick Nash was added to the list as a late scratch due to an apparent upper-body injury.

It's unclear when Nash, who recorded an assist and three shots in goal in 15:24 of action in Saturday's 3-0 victory over the Lightning, suffered the injury, or what the severity of the injury is at this moment.

But for at least tonight, the loss of the 33-year-old power forward will promote the freshly signed Ryan Donato up to David Krejci's left on the Black and Gold's second line (moving Danton Heinen to the right side), while Tim Schaller moves to the left side of a third line centered by Sean Kuraly.

With Nash out and Donato promoted to the Krejci line, emergency recall Anton Blidh will make his 2017-18 debut. Blidh comes to the NHL in the midst of a career year with the P-Bruins, with nine goals and 22 points for Providence this season. The 23-year-old recorded one goal and one assist in 19 games with the Big B's a season ago.

Nash has recorded three goals and six points in 11 games with the Bruins season.

Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy is expected to have some sort of an update on No. 61 after the game.
