Tuesday Red Sox Farm Report: Durbin Feltman strikes out side to secure Salem victory

Here’s what happened in the Red Sox farm system on Monday.

TRIPLE-A PAWTUCKET RED SOX (56-61): Postponed due to rain 

DOUBLE-A PORTLAND SEA DOGS (49-68): Scheduled day-off

HIGH-A SALEM RED SOX (55-62): W, 7-4 vs. Carolina

-- Kutter Crawford went five innings and struck out seven to earn his first win in High-A. The righty gave up only one run on four hits and two walks to lower his ERA to 3.27.

-- Durbin Feltman struck out the side in the ninth to slam the door on Carolina and earn his first save with Salem. The Red Sox third round pick has a 0.00 ERA through four appearances in High-A and has given up only one hit.  

-- Tyler Hill went 2-for-3 with a double and three runs scored. Jerry Downs hit a three-run home run, his 13th of the year (97 games) to jump his average to .241 and RBI total to 45.

-- C.J. Chatham raised his average to .307 with a three hit, two RBI night. The 23-year-old from Florida has three home runs and 38 RBIs through 74 games, and has 11 hits in his last 36 at-bats (.306 average in that span).

SINGLE-A GREENVILLE DRIVE (53-67): L, 3-0 at Augusta

-- Jarren Duran extended his hit-streak to three with a 2-for-3 night. The 21-year-old from California has slashed .364 (16-for-44) in his last 10 games and is hitting .383 through 11 games with Greenville.

-- Starter Eduard Bazardo pitched five shutout innings, but ended up with the no-decision. The 22-year-old struck out five to counter four hits and two walks allowed. Bazardo has a 0.75 ERA through two starts with the Drive after spinning a 2.36 ERA with short-season Lowell.  

-- Reliever Juan Florentino was charged with the loss to drop his record to 5-4. The 21-year-old righty from Santo Domingo gave up three runs on three hits. He now has a 5.66 ERA in 29 appearances with Greenville.

-- Devon Fisher and Rio Gomez each pitched one scoreless inning in relief for Bazardo.
