This was a heavy focus on the most recent episode of The Off Day podcast with Andy Hart and Ryan Hannable.

On the previous episode, Hart made a bold prediction that Gunner Olszewski would make the roster, but then a few days later on Dale & Keefe said he wouldn't. Ultimately, what happened could not have worked out any better for Hart.

“Andy nailed it. Gunner is on the roster. But, he was almost not on the roster just like Andy said. Suck it Dale & Keefe, suck it," Hart said. "The most interesting roster move in recent years, Gunner Olszewski was told late morning he was being released, then went to Jake Bailey’s house to watch a little Stanford-Northwestern. He was sulking and it was pretty quiet, according to Jake Bailey, and then, he got another phone call — the greatest phone call of his life, which he was told he was on the roster because Keion Crossen had been traded to the Houston Texans.”

Hart added: “For the here and the now it’s a good story.”

The pair went into the roster, including wide receiver and the recent move of bringing back Demaryius Thomas and placing rookie N'Keal Harry on injured reserve.
