Celtics legend John Havlicek passed away at 79 on Thursday and Glenn Ordway recounted a memory of the star on Friday.

Ordway remembers Havlicek as “an unbelievable human being” and “one of the nicest men that I’ve ever met in my life.”

He then talked about Havlicek’s performance with the Celtics in 1973, which “might have been one of the greatest Celtics teams of all time,” Ordway said.

Havlicek blew out his right shoulder and played the rest of the season lefty, Ordway remembered.

The Celtics ended up losing to the Knicks and Ordway said the difference in the series was John Havlicek.
