Golf gave the sports world hope on Monday.

Listen to your team news NOW.

Several announcements were made, including canceling the Open Championship which was scheduled to be played in Kent, England, from July 12-19, but that was the only real negative news.

The PGA Championship is now scheduled to take place August 3-9 and will remain at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, the US Open has been rescheduled for September 14-20 and is confirmed to remain at Winged Foot in New York, the Ryder Cup will remain September 22-27 at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin and lastly, the Masters has been rescheduled for November 9-15.

In addition, the PGA Tour seems to be preparing to come back in mid-June based on its updated schedule. Nothing is confirmed, but it appears the golf world is making sure it is ready to come back as soon as it is safe.

WEEI's Ryan Hannable and Ben Charleston discussed the news on Monday. Listen below.
