How to watch, stream Sunday's Patriots-Bears game

October 21, 2018 - 8:00 am

The Patriots (4-2) will be looking to make it four wins a row when they take on the Bears (3-2) Sunday afternoon. It will be New England's first game in Chicago since 2010.

The Patriots offense has exploded in recent weeks, scoring 38, 38 and 43 points in the last three games. They'll face arguably their toughest challenge of the year on Sunday, though, as the Bears defense -- led by stud outside linebacker Khalil Mack -- ranks fourth in the NFL in points allowed per game (19.2) and is tied for third in takeaways (14).

Adding to the challenge is the fact that the Patriots will likely be without tight end Rob Gronkowski, who did not travel with the team after picking up a back injury late in the week.

On the other side of the ball, the Patriots defense faces a Bears offense that has also started to look better. After averaging 21 points per game in their first three games, they've averaged 38 over the last two, beating the Buccaneers and losing to the Dolphins in overtime.

A big reason for that improvement is the play of second-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, who has thrown for more than 300 yards in each of those last two games to go along with nine touchdowns and one interception in that span. Through the first three weeks, Trubisky had averaged just 197 yards per game with two touchdowns and three picks.
