The American League beat the National League 8-6 in the 2018 All-Star Game at Nationals Park Tuesday night. The 10-inning game featured a record 10 home runs, two being hit back-to-back in the top of the 10th by Astros teammates Alex Bregman and George Springer.

Red Sox ace Chris Sale was the AL starting pitcher, going one inning and only allowing one hit in the scoreless inning. Otherwise, the Red Sox played a minor role in the All-Star game. First time All-Star Mitch Moreland went 2-for-3 with two singles, J.D. Martinez went 1-for-2 with a single, while Mookie Betts went 0-for-3. Craig Kimbrel did not appear in the game.
