Red Sox honor Memorial Day at almost-empty Fenway Park

The Red Sox were supposed to be hosting the Kansas City Royals Monday. That, obviously, is a plan that has been altered.

But despite the coronavirus-induced postponement, Fenway Park wasn't completely empty on the morning of Memorial Day.

The team paid tribute to those who lost their lives in combat by dropping the American flag over the left-field wall. The flag drop was punctuated by a bugle performance of Taps by Medford native Robert Bean, a retired member of the U.S. Marine Corps and National Guard.
