David Price won't be going to White House: 'It's baseball season'

Add David Price to the list of Red Sox who won't be going to the White House for the World Series champions' visit on May 9.

MLB Network's Jon Heyman reports Price told him he would not be going, saying simply, "It's baseball season."

Mookie Betts, Jackie Bradley Jr., Rafael Devers and Hector Velazquez have all previously said they won't be going. Velazquez was the only one to directly cite President Donald Trump as the reason he won't be going, as the pitcher, who's from Mexico, said he didn't want to upset anyone back home by visiting a president who has repeatedly made disparaging remarks about Mexico.

Manager Alex Cora, who is from Puerto Rico, has been open about not liking some of Trump's comments on Puerto Rico, but has not publicly made a final decision on whether he'll attend.
